Town employees collect garbage once a week on Mondays beginning at 6:45 AM.

The Town of Lucama provides you with a single 90-gallon roll-out cart. The cart is the property of the town. The night before or early in the morning of the day of collection, roll your garbage cart to the street for collection. All trash placed in the container should be enclosed (tied) in plastic bags.

Remove the cart from the street within 24 hours after the garbage has been picked up.

Holiday Collections:

We are closed on most holidays. If our office is closed due to a holiday, garbage will be collected the next business day when the office is open. (Please note that weather and mechanical breakdowns can also affect collection times.)

NOTE: Please do not put any yard debris in the can for collection.

The Town of Lucama collects yard debris on Thursdays as the schedule permits.

Place your yard debris on the side of the street for collection and it will be picked up as soon as possible.

Note: We do not collect yard waste that is the result of contracted work. For instance, if you have someone cut down limbs or a tree in your yard, it is your responsibility to see that the debris is removed. Do not put the same pile with special waste or it will not be collected.

The town collects special waste such as couches, chairs, and mattresses in small quantities.

These items are collected on Fridays. Place your item(s) by the street and it will be collected as soon as possible. We do not pick up debris that is the result of contracted work to homes or businesses, such as shingles, siding, etc. Do not put special waste in the same pile as yard waste or it will not be collected.

Note: The town does not collect paint or other chemicals.
